(More customer reviews)I bought this to go on a trip to the rainforest where there was no electricity. I turned it on. The red light lit up, but it did not charge...it did nothing. I didn't have time to test it before I left. I wish I had, because I would have found another solution if I had known this one would not work. I wanted to record numerous things in the rainforest and was unable to because the unit had no power.
