(More customer reviews)You get eight rechargeable batteries (6x AA + 2x AAA) plus a simple charger in this package. The batteries are the latest Rayovac "Hybrid", which are supposed to have very low self-discharge rate similar to the better known Sanyo "eneloop".
The capacity of Hybrid AA cell is rated at 2100mAh, slightly higher than that for the eneloop (2000mAh). I have tested both brands and can confirm that both ratings are accurate. Sanyo claims the eneloop can retain 90% of its original charge in 6 months, whereas Rayovac only claims 80% for the Hybrid. In real life applications, we probably won't be able to tell the performance difference between those two brands.
The charger inluded in this package, however, is a piece of junk. It is a timer-based dumb charger that simply charges for 8 hours at around 350mA and then turns off (obviously it was designed to charge 2500-2700mAh cells, because 350*8=2800). It also forces you to charge cells in pairs. Both 'features' are bad for your batteries. Do youself a favor and replace it with a smart charger as soon as possible. [...]

(More customer reviews)A decade ago, a 1400 mAh discharge capacity NiMH rechargeable battery would have been marginally acceptable. For today's digital cameras and the current state of NiMH battery technology, this RayOVac product is inexcusable.
You notice that neither the package or the battery indicates the discharge capacity. Here's why: the specs on this product are so inferior that nobody would buy it for digital camera use if they knew the truth.
My information about discharge capacity for this product comes for RayOVac's own specification sheet, available at their website.

For less demanding devices like some GPS receivers, portable scanners, flashlights, etc., these batteris might be fine. But the package shows a digital camera and leads customer to believe that they are appropriate for a digital camera.
I give the product one star partly for being substandard as far as discharge capacity and partly for the deception that RayOVac uses in order to trick people into buying this product.
Here's the lesson for you: unless you know for certain what you're buying, don't buy it. If the manufacturer or salesperson can't provide the information you need, walk away.
Historically, RayOVac dry cells were very good in their day. I'm very disappointed in the way RayOVac has "modernized" the company with Chinese product outsourcing and deceptive marketing practices.

(More customer reviews)Excellent rechargable batteries. These are NIMH batteries, so from what they say, you can 'top them off' without doing too much damage to the overall capacity. They also claim to have a significantly less drop off in overall capacity over time.
For things that don't require frequent charging, like TV remotes, I use regular Akaline batteries.
I use these to power the infrared sensor, kitchen garbage can, that opens automatically. The garbage can needs size D batteries. But ENELOOP makes D size adaptors that you just slide these "AA" into. It's great. So for quite a few months now, these 4 little "AA" batteries have been doing the work of 4 "D" batteries. If you buy these, BUY the adatpers that ENELOOP makes, they come in "C" and "D". You'll never buy "C" and "D" batteries again!!

All packs a lot of juice compared with other comparable brands, and even slightly higher than Eneloop and Duracell.
Although, Duracell and Eneloop rate their batteries only 800mAh but perform better on tests, Imedion rates their batteries as 950mAh, but in my actual test performed lower as shown on above results.
(I will run more tests to verify whether 950mAh rating is justified)>

I use them in my Sony portable CD player to listen to books and they are much better than the Energizer Rechargeable batteries that I had been using. Plus they have held their charge longer than the Energizers. I guess the LSD[Low Self Discharge]is responsible for this. I, also, purchased the [Tenergy Centura AAA Low Self-Discharge (LSD) NiMH Rechargeable Batteries, 6 Cards 24xAAAfor my MP3 Player and use 1 battery in it (again listening to books)and 3 in my books light. They are doing better than expected. The AAA is holding it's charge very well...changing the battery every 24-26 hours of play for the MP3 player and changed it out after 6 nights in the books light (which I am using as a portable night light while staying with my daughter and new baby). I could have gotten more time out of the book light, however, the light was starting to get a little dim and I chose to change it out rather than see exactly how long it would take to wear it down completely. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with these products, especially since I read such poor reviews on the regular Tenergy batteries. The Centura has exceeded my expectations and the price made it well worth it. With that being said, I have only had these batteries for a month or so and can't comment on the long term wear of them. I can say that in this month, I have put them through their paces and the ear plugs in my ears....(two babies in the house, a 17 month old & 15 day old and when one cries the other picks up on it, so Grandma has the MP3 player or CD with books going 24 hours a day in one ear and the other ear listening to babies)I'm pleased to say the batteries haven't failed me yet!!! I hope that long term is the same.

The prong that plugs into the computer is a little bit thinner than the original and isn't a perfect fit, but that has not effected the connection at all. UPDATE: 13 JAN 2011. I purchased a La Crosse BC-9009 for AA and AAA batteries (4 cell), and a MAHA MH-C808M for C and D batteries (8 cell). The MAHA will also do AA and AAA, so buy it if you only want one charger. However, the La Crosse is much smaller making it easier to take on travels. Both will recondition weak rechargeables, which extends cycles for 20 or more additional charges.
Both chargers accomodate Tenergy battery posts with no need to use foil to make contact with the post.
I was concerned about user comments on the MAHA about potential fires, so I only use it during the daytime when I am around. By contrast, I will leave the La Crosse on overnight, if required. The La Crosse unit allows rapid charging if in a hurry, but it is best to use the lowest charging rate (200 mA) to extend battery cycle life.
These chargers in combination with batteries supplied by La Crosse, or Sanyo Eneloop batteries purchased separately produce a use life almost as good as alkaline batteries. Overall costs are much lower than alkaline batteries.
Sanyo states that Eneloop batteries maintain around 85% of their charge when stored at room temperature for a year. I think other rechargeables are not even close.
You can add metal foil to make good contact for Tenergy batteries in the RayoVac charger. However, I recommend La Crosse or MAHA over any unit sold in local stores. La Crosse or MAHA will charge more effectively and batteries will last longer.

(More customer reviews)I bought one of these adapters, it was bad from the start, they sent me another one free, didn't even have to ship the other one back. (this is a clue)
It lasted for about 5 months then started resetting when recharging the battery. Every 20 seconds it would shutoff for a second
and come back on, causing all the "power smart" plug-n-play hardware in the laptop to display a message about being on battery power.
Even when it worked I was afraid the thing would burst into flames it got so hot.
Also the laptop would get super hot while using this adapter. A sign of not enough power.
This company has changed their name since then and will not answer my emails, I guess if the company no longer exists, then the guarantee no longer exists either. Amazon is allowing these companies to rob people and then run and hide.
I have since purchased REAL HP equipment, and bought the 135 watt adapter that comes with the Docking Station. I recommend staying away from these
sub-level factory seconds. The laptop complained about the power adapter with a message:
