(More customer reviews)This package includes four rechargeable NiMH batteries (2x AA + 2x AAA) plus a simple charger. The batteries are the new Rayovac "Hybrid", which are advertised to have very low self-discharge rate similar to the better-known Sanyo Eneloop.
You can find the spec for Rayovac Hybrid cells at "rayovacindustrial dot com". The capacity of Hybrid AA cell (LD715) is rated at 2100mAh, slightly higher than that for the eneloop (2000mAh). I have tested both brands and can confirm that their ratings are accurate. The Hybrid AAA cell (LD724), however, was tested to be slightly lower than the rated 800mAh capacity. In my 5-month self-discharge test, Sanyo eneloop retained about 85% capacity, while Hybrid kept about 80%. For all practical applications, the two brands are equally good. So the Rayovac Hybrid could be a better value - if you can find it at a substantially lower price than eneloop.
The 'Easy Charger' inluded in this package, however, is a piece of junk. It has no charging termination circuit built in. It simply charges 2 or 4 cells in pairs, at a fixed current (160mA for AA, 70mA for AAA) FOREVER. It is up to the user to remove the cells after about 15 hours (assuming cells were fully exhausted). If you forgot and left the cells in there for too long, they will be badly overcharged. The user manual even warned that "LED light will remain on when charging is finished, although batteries should be removed at charge time indicated".
As of this writing, this package is priced lower than just 4 Rayovac Hybrid cells. So it is still a reasonable deal, since the charger is essentially free. But you really should get a smarter charger as soon as possible. I highly recommend the KODAK K6200 and Duracell CEF23DX4N.

I noticed that the picture of this product has changed. It now conatins the lower-capacity LD715-OP. The capacity of this 'OP' (Opening Price) cell is rated at only 1400mAh (actual test capacity is around 1500mAh). If possible, look for the old Rayovac Hybrid (2100mAh) instead.
