I ordered this charger as soon as I saw how quickly battery life on the Palm Pre Plus could be sapped. When it came it didn't work but I contacted the seller who sent out a free replacement that works fine (apparently the not working is a known issue).
The charger does not come with instructions which provided a further challenge. Here's what I was told by the seller about using the device properly:
Place the battery in with the + side facing the plug that inserts into the phone and you should see a light turn on quickly to indicate it's ready. Then, plug it into the phone (preferably with the phone turned off) and wait up to 3 minutes until the light goes on again to indicate it is done charging. Repeat, some phones will take up to 4 AA batteries to complete a full charge on a near 0% battery life battery.
I haven't tried charging the phone completely with this charger, but it did bring the phone up from 90% to 100% with one battery and no problems once I got the replacement and had the right instructions.
