Too good sometimes, in fact, that it is so bright it can overpower and wash out your photos if you don't get it set right. It was a little tricky getting the flash set up to coordinate with my Canon 650IS, but follow the instructions, and you'll be fine.

The 2800 Electronic Flash has two automatic power settings, an exposure verification indicator, an adjustable bounce head for soft lighting effects, and energy-saving thyristor circuitry for faster recycling and longer battery life. While most camera's built-in flash units are only effective from a distance of 8 to 12 feet, the 2800 gives you the freedom to be more than four times farther away.
