(More customer reviews)I am a professional photographer and carry a lot of AA batteries, needed
something to organize my batteries in a manageable way. I found these at
a fair price, so I decided to give it a try.
The Good
-- Fair price.
-- Can hold either 4 AA or 4 AAA
The Bad
-- The two very small protruding locking tabs, if you do not carefully
close them just right, by twisting with your thumb on the top tab AND
your forefinger under the bottom tab, which is somewhat difficult due to
its small size, even if your fingers are considered as medium size, they
will not lock firmly, and the batteries will frequently fall out when
you pick up a case.
-- Due to the design of the protruding locking tabs, when I pull any one
of the cases out of my bag, one of the tabs will frequently catch on to
the inside of the bag and will accidentally open up the case, spilling
the batteries inside the bag. This does not happen every time, but often
enough to be a real pain.
-- I bought a six pack bundle, two of the cases will not stay snap shut
from the start, no matter how much I twist the locking tabs.
-- I have read the other reviews. One person even did a drop test and
stated that the case will still stay close. Well, I tested that theory
at 12" to 14" from the ground, EVERY single case popped open every time
and the batteries go flying every where. Most people are not going to be
on their knees, usually standing instead, if dropped, it will be at a
much higher height. The cases even started to crack in certain areas.
Final thoughts
-- I was hoping that these cases would work out, especially for the
price. But, after experiencing the numerous issues, I think I will start
looking for something else instead. Oh well, live and learn!
