I won't extoll the virtues of Eneloop here, as it's been discussed ad nauseum on those pages, so check them out if you need more raving reviews. I am merely here to comment on this new pack they have come out with. This is a fantastic deal. You get many more batteries and a nice case. The only trade off is less spacers, but for me, and most of the buyers, I only need two C and D spacers for a flash light or two, which this comes with. Compare those older packs at MSRP $70, and this MSRP of $50 for more batteries is an amazing deal.
Just as a quick bit of info for those who don't want to search for other reviews. I have been using these batteries for about 3 years, and have noticed no degredation and I have a touch screen remote that goes through them pretty fast. They hold their charge for a very long time, and aren't anything like rechargeables you may have used in the past. These batteries are not weak, don't lose a charge noticably faster than disposable batteries in your drawer, and pay for themselves in no time flat. For anyone who has a concern about the spacers, look at the output for things like Energizer rechargable C and D batteries, you'll find that they match the AA output, meaning that they merely use the same concept of a AA cell inside a spacer and brand it as a C or D battery. This is common from many rechargeable manufacturers, and has to do with cost savings and makes chargers simpler as they don't have to charge differently depending on what battery is in there.
