(More customer reviews)I bought the slave drive because if you add a lens to the canon G10 and if you use the reg flash it will leave a dark mark in the corner of the picture. This slave drive eliminates that. I am still learning under what lighting to use it. It was inexpensive and works.

The device is workable for both direct hot shoe photography (when switches to Normal mode) and remote flash photography (when switches to Slave On mode.
