1. Charges all standard battery sizes (AAA,AA,C,D,9V)
2. Works with both NiMh and NiCd types
3. Charges each battery separately (does not require pairing)
4. Switch between quick and slow charging
I love the fact that it can charge one battery at a time. My old charger required that they be paired. Many of my electronics only use 1 battery so I would put the discharged battery aside and wait until another battery needed charging, which is not good on the battery to store it discharged.
The only problem I have with it is that the indicator lights were misleading. I was hoping this would be a 'smart' charger and shut off automatically once the battery was charged. This is not the case. The light just indicates that the unit is charging that battery. You still have to manually take the battery out after so many hours (as indicated in the chart on the instructions.) Because of this, I almost always use the 'slow' charging setting to prevent overcharging the batteries.
