(More customer reviews)For Christmas I got a Kodak PowerShot A590IS Camera. Christmas day it went right through the Alkaline AA batteries I had in it. Three days after Christmas I found this charger and batteries in a local store.
Charged the batteries and put two in the camera and stored the other two in the camera case. Jumped in the car and drove 20 mintues to a function. Approximately 30 minutes after taking the batteries off the charger, at the function, I find out the batteries are dead. None of them worked.
My husband tracked down Targus on the internet and called. The man said he would send us an email of where to send the defective one back to and he would replace it. That was over a week ago.
Wed. I took the charger back to the store. They swapped it out for me. OK so now I have a new one. Today I took the newly charged batteries and put two into the camera.
I took 33 pictures and it worked great. Set the camera down, went shopping. While cooking dinner I thought I'd review the pictures and the batteries were dead. I put the other two in, and again those were dead, just like the first charger. Only these made it over 30 minutes, but still less than 8 hours.
My husband got an email from Targus today. They said they would email us an RMA number. Great after 2 weeks. This Junk is not worth the shipping to send back.
If you look at the instruction manual, there is NO warranty or address, or contact information for this company.
Folks there are a lot of better chargers and batteries out there to choose from and this is not it. Amazon has many to slect from. Read the reviews first.
When I take this back to the store tomorrow, it will be my third trip (including the night I bought it) over this and it is not worth it.
