(More customer reviews)This unit was a lifesaver for my traveling and gave me 3 things I wanted:
- Ability to charge more than 4 batteries at a time (it charges up to 8 AA or AAA at a time, in any combination)
- Support for both US 110v and European/Asia 220v (even includes plug for 12v and 24v from car cigarette lighters!)
- Rapid charge
I've yet to use the 12v/24v lighter to charge my AA batteries.
The rapid charge isn't terribly rapid, but it's less than 8 hours, so that's good. If my batteries aren't completely dead, this unit will usually charge them up in about 4 hours.
Push the blue button on the charger, and it'll drain the batteries before charging them up.
The TEnergy AA batteries aren't the best out there (hence 4 stars), and I hear there are better charges at 2x the cost, but my cameras, flashes, walkie-talkies, Wii controllers and other random gear have to be pushed pretty hard before I see any significant difference between them and my Duracell NiMH AA batteries.
For the money I'm saving, they're well worth it!
