(More customer reviews)Charger arrived with contacts that wouldn't reach the batteries - not a good sign. After bending the contacts, the charger "worked" but claimed to be charge-complete in 6 minutes. Thinking that the batteries were pre-charged, I tried them in my camera and they quit after 2 pictures. Tried again - same result. Charged batteries in my old 5-hour charger and they work fine. Placed old known-good but discharged batteries in this charger and they also got the 6-minute treatment. If you unplug/replug you get 6 more minutes. This charger is junk; the batteries seem OK.
--update-- Assuming the shipping would cost more than I would get back returning it, I decided to disassemble the charger before trashing it. I found a very small chip on the wiring side of the circuit board with grainy-looking solder joints. I ran the point of a thumbtack down the feet of the chip to mash the solder slightly and reassembled the charger and now it seems to work, at least for now. This doesn't change my opinion of the unit much, but I felt guilty using it after giving it such a bad review.
