(More customer reviews)When I bought my digital camera from Amazon I also bought the Targus "rapid recharge" unit, because the camera took AA batteries - which tend to drain very quickly when you are taking pictures.
If I had any idea that it would be so deficient I would never ever have purchased it at any price.
Let's start with the fact, though it is called a "rapid charger", it takes 5 HOURS to charge 2 - 4 AA batteries. Either 280 or 300 minutes, depending on the type of rechargable. Those times are right off the "manual" (which is less a half-page in its entirety). Does that sound like a "rapid charger" to you? AAA batteries take almost two hours.
And when I tried using a pair of supposedly fully-charged AAA batteries for my keyboard, they lasted less than two days. By contrast, regular alkaline batteries last 1 - 2 months.
I am going to try getting my money back from Amazon or Targus. If they won't accommodate me I will throw this hunk of junk out and consider the cost to be charity.
